Your Library, Your Voice

The 2026–28 Strategic Plan is all about making sure teens feel included, supported, and able to shape what happens at the library. The Teen Space brings that to life with books that get you, digital resources that help you learn and create, and a welcoming place to connect, explore, and grow. Whether you’re stopping in after school, joining a program, or volunteering, you’re not just using the library — you’re helping shape its next chapter.

Growing With Our Community: Youth Volunteers

Youth volunteers are an essential part of OSMPL’s vision for 2026–28. Teens help shape a library that is responsive, creative, and connected to the community. Through volunteering, teens can:

  • Build leadership and teamwork skills

  • Support programs and events for younger kids

  • Help shape teen‑focused collections and activities

  • Earn community involvement hours

  • Make a real impact on the library and the community

Volunteering isn’t just about helping out — it’s about being part of something bigger, contributing your ideas, and gaining experience that supports your goals for the future.
